Hi, and welcome to Todd S Construction. Founded in March 2024 I started this company to utilize the experience I've gained over 17 years in the construction industry. A little about my story.

I've always enjoyed working outdoors. I realized when I was younger and tinkering with website design and programming that I just wasn't going to be able to spend my life sitting at a desk, in a cubicle or in some office somewhere. So after doing some research I went to a local trade school, West Coast Training, in Woodland, Washington, in 2006. While there I gained proficiency in 2 primary pieces of equipment, excavators and bulldozers as well as gaining hands on experience on a wide variety of other heavy equipment.

I have always enjoyed being outdoors but I soon found my passion and that I have a natural, God-given talent for running equipment. While going through the school I also had the opportunity to help my family by clearing their new property in preparation to build a home. 

Soon after completing my training at the school I found work, working for a local small excavation outfit. I worked there for 4 years doing residential sub divisions and house excavations as well as land clearing and cleanup and house demolitions. Unfortunately, due to the economic situation and market crash, I ended up being the last employee still working for that company and ultimately, not working at all. So I changed careers and went into steel erection. I worked for a couple of small companies at first building stores like Fred Meyers and Walmarts, but then I joined up with a local fabricator and steel erector in Vancouver where I started out as a welder, then foreman, then field super intendent. I found I still had a knack for running equipment, but most of what I was running was forklifts and boomlifts and I always found myself watching the heavy equipment on site, saying to myself, "you know what, I can do that". So in February of 2024, I ended my career in steel erecting and started my own excavation company. I know it will be hard work getting established but I know my God provides and I firmly believe this is what He is providing. I hope you enjoyed the read.
